Pulse Jet
Baghouse Dust collectors use filter bags hung from the ceiling of the unit to collect dust particles. Pulse Jet dust collectors utilize a pulse of compressed air to clean the filter bags.
In pulse jet collectors, filter bags are placed over wire cages and inserted through a tube sheet which separates the dirty air side of the collector from the clean air side of the collector. Once the dirty air is pulled into the unit, the larger and heavier dust particles fall to the bottom of the collector into a dust storage system. The smaller, more fine particles are pulled to the outside of the hanging bag filters.
To clean the filters, unlike shaker style collectors, the blower does not need to be turned off. The individual pulse valves are controlled by a timer sending a pulse of compressed air through a row of bags. These pulses can be adjusted by the timer board for continuous cleaning, clean on demand, etc.
